These were a few houses on the outskirts of Ooty, more specifically, on the road from Coonoor to Ooty. Houses in small towns often have banners and advertisements from companies printed on them. Maybe the house owners get a few bucks for allowing then to paint their wall. I think its one of the best ways of marketing to people in villages and small towns, and also to passer-byes like us, because it is quite low cost and certainly catches your attention.
