I’ve been teaching Neural Networks in class for the last month or so, and have now come upon the topic of Backpropagation Algorithm. The math in there is not for the faint-hearted, and it needs to be understood well to realize its beauty. I need to find out a way, analogies perhaps, to make it simple enough so that I can keep the students interested when it teach it in class. Difficult, but by no means an insurmountable obstacle. There always a way around the problem.
